Hi, I'm Cosmas.
I'm based in Moshi, Tanzania, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.
My journey in tourism started on the mountain. I worked as a Kilimanjaro porter and mountain guide, learning first-hand what it takes to support travellers safely and help them reach the summit.
I also worked as a safari guide, exploring Tanzania's national parks and learning the landscapes, wildlife and communities that make this country so special.
But my work has never been only about tourism.
As a social worker and humanitarian, I have also worked closely with communities and people facing different challenges. This experience shaped the way I see travel — not simply as something people come to Tanzania to consume, but as an opportunity to connect with people, communities and the places they visit.
That is part of the reason I founded Janibichi Adventures.
